The Title That Was a Year in the Making
The sound of “Glory Glory Manchester United” rang out through the crowd as the sun shone in the Wembley sky.
Man United have etched their name into the Women’s FA Cup history by lifting the trophy just a few years after being reformed.
How did they do it ?
The anticipated close match turned out to be anything but.
Both teams had opportunities, with Manchester United creating the majority, but the deadlock broke just moments before half-time.
Ella Toone was the shining star once again, as she treated Wembley as her playground once again.

The 90th minute and after…
The full-time whistle blew, and celebrations ensued.
Spurs reluctantly carried themselves up the stairs to accept their runners-up medals.

This achievement is expected to help the club to attract top talent, and also help to retain some of the top-quality players whose contracts may be coming to an end.
While the team has struggled to qualify for European competitions or sustain a strong position in the title race this season, they are looking ahead to the prospects of the upcoming season.
