Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur.
Walton Hall Park at 12 pm
The first game of the weekend is between Everton and Spurs. Everton is currently in the 9th position and recently drew to Arsenal.
On the other hand, Spurs are in the 6th position and drew in their last game.
The last time these two teams played against each other, the result was a draw of 1-1. Grace Clinton scored a goal for Everton in the 43rd minute and Aurora Galli took a penalty kick for Everton in the 85th minute.
I believe we might see Spurs try to be more upfront and get ahead of Everton. Whether Everton will let them is another question as they did hold Arsenal back last weekend.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Aston Villa.
Broadfield Stadium at 1 pm
Brighton & Hove Albion will face Aston Villa at the Broadfield stadium. Both teams had a draw in their previous matches and are currently separated by only two points in the standings. Aston Villa is placed 7th while BHA is in the 8th position.
The last time these two sides met, Aston Villa won 1-0 with Adriana Leon scoring the only goal of the match. It is worth mentioning that Maz Pacheco was sent off with a red card during that game. This match could be a close one.
Liverpool vs Manchester United.
Prenton Park at 2 pm
The next upcoming football match promises to be an exciting one, as the two teams are currently neck-to-neck in terms of points. Liverpool has had an impressive start to the season, while Manchester United has been struggling to maintain consistency.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2 pm at Prenton Park, and the last time these two teams faced each other, Ella Toone scored just three minutes into the game. Millie Turner’s own goal added to the score, and Taylor Hinds scored in the 68th minute. It remains to be seen which team will come out on top this time around.
Manchester City vs Arsenal.
Joie Stadium at 2:15
Manchester City currently has a six-point lead over Chelsea, with an eight-goal advantage. They will be looking to increase this lead to secure the silverware, which is the only trophy they can get their hands on this season.
On the other hand, Arsenal drew their last match against Everton. However, they have already secured the third place in the league, which guarantees them a spot in the Champions League next season.
In the last encounter between Arsenal and Everton, Arsenal won 2-1, with goals from Steph Cattley and Stina Blackstenius, and Chloe Kelly.
West Ham vs Leicester City.
Chigwell Construction Stadium at 3 pm
West Ham United, who finished in the 11th place and have managed to avoid relegation this season.
Leicester City, on the other hand, secured the 10th spot and are three points ahead of West Ham in the league table.
We can expect a lot from this game. Last week, Leicester lost to Manchester United in the 80th minute, despite almost holding them off for the entire game. Meanwhile, West Ham played a draw against Aston Villa and managed to pull themselves back in the game and it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Last time around, Lena Petermann and Honoko Hayashi scored for their respective teams, and Hawa Cissoko received a red card during the game but the stakes are higher now as both teams hope to extend their distance from the bottom of the table.
Chelsea vs Bristol City.
Kingsmeadow at 6:45.
Bristol City has confirmed to be relegated and is currently stuck in the 12th position. They have been losing matches all season.
On the other hand, Chelsea is in a much better position as they are placed second, only 6 points behind the first-placed team. However, they are 8 goals behind Manchester City and would need to win the remaining games to overtake them.
Chelsea is now back to playing in the WSL after being eliminated from all the other competitions. They had missed a few weeks due to playing in the Champions League semifinals.
Despite their recent loss to Liverpool in the midweek, Chelsea has been given a few days to recover and will be expected to continue pushing forward.
Last time around the outcome of 3-0 with goals by Lauren James, Erin Cuthbert, and Sam Kerr; after Chelsea’s loss they’ll be pushing to do even better.
But they’ll be facing the same team that kept Manchester City from scoring until the second half so we could be in for some drama.
